Why can’t I see updated location data for a member’s phone?

There could be a few reasons why a member’s location data is not getting updated-

  1. Member has not actually moved. Remember- Family Orbit will conserve battery by not uploading location if the device is not actually moving at all,
  2. Member has switched off the phone, or the battery is exhausted
  3. Member has entered an area in which there is no network connection
  4. Member has turned off Location Services to save battery power.

If the location services are turned off, ensure that the setting is turned on to receive the latest location updates. Please read ‘Do I need to enable the location services?’
