Launch the Family Orbit program:
- On Windows: You can launch Family Orbit program from the Start menu. Family Orbit also runs in the tray bar. Right click on the icon in tray bar, and select Open.
- On Mac: You can launch Family Orbit app from the Launchpad. You can also find the Family Orbit icon on the top menu bar after login. Just click on it and select Open option.
Upon launch, Family Orbit Desktop App will ask you to enter your account's password. Enter the same password you use to login to the Family Orbit online panel.
Once the interface is open, tap on the iTunes tab.
You will see the entire list of Apple devices backed up to your local computer using iTunes. If you see no devices, click on the Refresh button. If you still see no devices, you probably have no backup on your local computer.
Now, you need to associate the devices with your child accounts in Family Orbit. Click on the link labeled, “Choose Child” and select the child’s name you wish to associate the Apple device with.
If your child is not yet added to Family Orbit, tap on Add New Child in the same menu.
Now you can associate the Apple device with the child.
To upload your device’s data to your Family Orbit account, you can perform a “Sync.” Automatic “Sync” also happens periodically, when the PC or Mac is active and connected to WiFi.
Go to Overview screen and press Sync button. Wait for the process to finish.
Please note, automatic Sync will happen every hour.
